Family Lexicon 2026
The Family Lexicon project documents the private language used within families. It features a collection of 90 terms from 15 family environments and 14 languages. The goal was to translate these fleeting, oral traditions—often understood only within the closest circles—into a permanent archival form.
The tactile execution emphasizes this archival character: the cover was manually screen-printed on 300g cardstock, and the book was hand-bound. Family Lexicon makes the intimacy and diversity of language tangible, preserving fragments of identity that would otherwise disappear in conversation.
